Order types and the price band

Why did Lovely Legends warn me about my order or refuse to place it?

The exchange checks your order against a price band around the current market price before accepting it. An order priced moderately far from the market shows a confirmation asking whether you meant it; an order priced very far from the market is refused outright. The band is measured from the best price currently in the order book, and it exists to stop a mistyped price from executing against the whole book.

What the price band is

A guard rail around the current market price. Before an order is accepted, the exchange compares its price with the best price available in the order book right now, and reacts in one of three ways: accept it silently, ask you to confirm, or refuse it.

How far from the marketWhat happens
Within the bandThe order is placed normally.
Beyond the warning thresholdThe app asks you to confirm — for a buy, "This buy would execute above the current market price. Place it anyway?" You can proceed.
Beyond the blocking thresholdThe order is refused. Change the price and try again.

The default thresholds are 5% for a warning and 10% for a block, but they are operator-configurable and can differ. The message the app shows you at the time is the authority, not this page.

Why measure from the order book and not the last trade?

Because the last trade can be old and the book is now. On a quiet market the last trade might be hours stale, so a band drawn around it would either block perfectly sensible orders or wave through wild ones. The best bid and best ask are what your order would actually meet.

Note

The band protects you from a typo, not from a bad trade. A price inside the band can still be a poor one — the band has no opinion about that.

Other reasons an order can be refused

  • Not enough available balance. Remember that a buy is charged the fee on top of the total, so you need slightly more than the total shown.
  • The price or amount is not a valid number, or is zero.
  • The order would trade against your own resting order on the other side of the book. The exchange does not let you trade with yourself.
  • The market has not opened for trading yet. A market awaiting launch shows a countdown instead of an order form.
